In the Fall of 2006, over 80 guests attended the second annual Matrix Founders Circle. The Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia provided the perfect location for our guests to enjoy great food and fellowship, as well as an afternoon of golf, tennis and relaxation.

The welcome cocktail reception, held Wednesday evening at the Gun Club Pavilion, provided beautiful panoramic views of the Allegheny mountains. Thursday morning began with a delicious buffet breakfast, followed by several business presentations. This year we were very fortunate to have a dynamic group of speakers who shared their expertise on various topics, including Mark Lerner with Morgen, Evan & Co. who provided an update on the Current Business Trends in Asia; a panel discussion on An Insiders View of Gasoline Supply and Pricing, including Tom Kelso, head of Matrix’s EMR Team, Ken Doyle, Executive Vice President of SIGMA and Mike Ports, Ports Petroleum Company, Inc.. We were also thrilled to have Tom Brady join us once again to share his humorous and thoughtful insights on being a Famous Football Father. On Thursday afternoon our guests engaged in a variety of activities, including golf, tennis, falconry, fly fishing and shooting. Later that evening everyone enjoyed cocktails and dinner. Things wrapped up on Friday morning with breakfast and a presentation by Lou Moelchert with Private Advisors on Hedge Funds 101.
